Excellence, Competition & Character
Farragut's athletic program emphasizes excellence, competition, and character. With a wide range of sports, we foster an environment where students push themselves to be the best versions of themselves, both individually and as part of a team. Our athletes have a proven track record of success, consistently competing at high levels and showcasing their talent in regional and state competitions.
BlueJackets
At Admiral Farragut Academy, a majority of the student body is involved in either sports, clubs, drill, or the arts, or all four. At times, you will see a student hustling from one practice to another event. We take pride in producing well-rounded individuals ready to conquer the world.
Our BlueJackets like to win, but more than that, they just love to compete. Our coaches, players and parent spectators all place great value in good sportsmanship. Win or lose, we will do it with dignity and honor.

The Admiral
Meet our mascot “The Admiral” to celebrate our naval history. The school is named after David Glasgow Farragut (July 5, 1801 – August 14, 1870) who was a flag officer of the United States Navy during the American Civil War. He was the first rear admiral, vice admiral, and admiral in the United States Navy. He is remembered for his order at the Battle of Mobile Bay, in which he was victorious, usually paraphrased as “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead” in U.S. Navy tradition.
